Hi, I'm Kristen!... and in addition to caring for my little family, loving "summertime" bare feet (all year round in my house!) and getting nicknamed a "cookie momster" (undeniably true!!); I live, work, play and take pictures in Chatham-Kent, Ontario.
I am a first time mamma to a sweet little boy. He has turned my life into a whirlwind of adventures. He is busy learning, and creating his own memories. My job as his mom is to capture them! So, the most important item on my hospital check list then? My camera! I took a few pictures before delivery. I took some Fresh 48 pictures afterwards. Crazy, right? But, as I am seeing with my own son, the days may be long, but the years are SO short!
I have always had an interest in photography. I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember... public school, grade 8 graduation, trips, high school adventures, college life... I picked up a camera when I was young, and never put it down.
I have taken several photography courses, and I have been blessed to have worked with other photographers. From these experiences, I have been asked to capture everything from beautiful newborns to families creating memories; engagement sessions, to weddings and anniversaries; and many other special events.
Currently (and for the past 2 years) I have been the official band photographer for a competition band in Windsor; with band members from both Canada and the United States. Traveling with this fun loving group has allowed me to gain new friends, see new places through-out Ontario and the United States, and capture band competitions, Ceilidhs, small practice moments, and victories at competitions. Each moment just as important as the last.
I am an on-location photographer. I have traveled through-out the Chatham-Kent area; as well as Windsor, Sarnia, and Grand Bend areas for client sessions, and have had people travel from Toronto to have me complete a session for them!
I find joy in watching a story unfold through images; bringing out the beauty of everyday life. I love seeing peoples lives blending together, creating special memories that will be enjoyed for a lifetime. So let's celebrate you, your event, and your family "in the moment", so that tomorrow, a week from now, and 20 years down the road, you can look back and enjoy your special day again and again.
I would love to meet you and help you tell your special story!
